Fragrance Oils: S thru Z
A nice copy of an excellent Bath & Body Works fragrance! Top notes of delicate Chinese white tea, citrus, and nutmeg lead to a floral middle and a rich, spicy drydown of ginger, clean musk, and precious woods. BOTTOM LINE: A heady, likable fusion of two timeless Asian scents.
Flashpoint: 160º F.
Blending note: As an interesting touch for cold-process and M&P soap -- add some white tea leaves (a very specific type of tea, grown only in China and picked when the leaves are very immature and pale-colored) to your soap batch for added visual interest, and -- who knows? -- maybe some of the antioxidants in the tea leaves might infuse themselves into the soap . . .
A rarity in the world of fragrance -- a great-smelling vanilla oil that holds up beautifully in cold-process soaps without turning them brown!! We tested about 15 other vanilla fragrances that claimed to be non-discoloring, but either they *did* discolor, or they lost all their scent after only a week (or less) of cure time. In addition to not discoloring, this vanilla's staying power is amazing. NOTE: This is a "colder," less buttery-smelling vanilla scent, so our favorite way to make vanilla soap is to use 2 parts White Vanilla to 1 part of our Special Edition Vanilla â„¢ fragrance. This produces a tan soap with a long-lasting, rich vanilla aroma.

A nice blend of balsam, pine, and some mellower, citrusy notes -- none of that "Pine-Sol" smell you get from most woodsy blends. Very unisex, even a bit masculine. Smells like a Christmas tree forest!
Flashpoint: 144º F.
A serenade of peppermint, cinnamon, fig, and winter forests -- available only at Sweet Cakes.
A symphony of holiday light, sparkling snow, warm cinnamon cookies and candy canes, Christmas trees and fig pudding -- all that is warm and delightful, this is our Winter Serenade. Tested in CP soap and soy candles, this blend is cozy and inviting, all the best of the winter season. Perfect as an air or linen freshener, and simply sings in lotion, shampoo, bath gel, and bath salts. Any application will ring in the holidays with Winter Serenade!
Flashpoint: 175˚ F.
A cool, fruity blend that begins with a strong (and irresistible) citrus accord of grapefruit, orange, bergamot, and lemon. The refreshing heart is composed of violet, cyclamen, bois de rose, muguet, pineapple, and a hint of gardenia. The base notes are citronella, sandalwood, jasmine, and musk. If you hesitate to order this fragrance because it seems not to contain the traditional Christmas notes, don't let that stop you -- this is an excellent blend, and its icy grapefruit top notes not only make it seem quite wintery but also make it refreshing and welcome during the warmer months.
Flashpoint: 152º F.
An excellent copy of one of Bath & Body Works' most pleasant and beguiling scents for men. Woody top notes are accented with basil, armoise, lemon and juniper. A floral-herbaceous middle leads to a mellow drydown of sandalwood and patchouli. Bottom Line: One of my all-time favorite men's scents. Manly and delicious without being perfume-y -- one of our tippity-top recommendations for anyone wishing to scent a product (soap, shampoo, shower gel, etc.) for men. Flashpoint: >200º F.
